Funeral Services Held for Natasha Richardson

Family and friends of Natasha Richardson said their final farewells to the late actress Sunday afternoon during a small, private funeral held near h

er Millbrook home in upstate New York.

Approximately 40 people gathered for the services, including her husband, actor Liam Neeson; their two sons, Michael and Daniel; mother Vanessa Redgrave; sister Joely Richardson; and longtime friend and fellow actor Ralph Fiennes, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Alan Rickman and Laura Linney, who costarred with Neeson in Love Actually, were also in attendance. Natasha Richardson died on Wednesday at the age of 45 from a head injury she suffered while skiing in Canada.

The funeral began after the family arrived in a police-escorted motorcade at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lithgow, where Neeson and his sons are members. Wearing a dark suit and sunglasses, Liam helped carry his wife's casket into the tiny white church.

Natasha Richardson will be buried at nearby St. Peter's cemetery, where her maternal grandmother, Rachel Kempson, was laid to rest in 2003. Kempson passed away while visiting her granddaughter.

Natasha Richardson's husband Liam Neeson was one of the pallbearers who carried his wife's casket into St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Millbrook, NY. Among the celebrities spotted in the crowd were Ralph Fiennes, Holly Hunter, Uma Thurman and Laura Linney.

A burial ceremony was then held under a tent constructed at the nearby St. Peter's Cemetery, where Natasha Richardson was laid to rest. Family members attending the service included her mother Vanessa Redgrave, sister Joely Richardson and two sons, Micheal and Daniel.

The services on Sunday brought to a close a tragic week in which the Tony Award-winning actress passed away at the age of 45 following a skiing accident in Canada on Monday.

The hospital tells TMZ Natasha Richardson is sedated and suffering from brain swelling -- but, contrary to some reports, is not brain dead. We can't confirm the accuracy of the hospital's statements, or the other reports circulating the web -- fact is, right now we just don't know.

We're told Natasha Richardson's jet was scheduled to take off from Montreal-Trudeau Airport. A rep for the airport said the jet is either still there or has just taken off.

We're told Natasha Richardson has been transported from the hospital in Canada via ambulance. CTV says she boarded a private jet -- we do not know where the jet has gone, but we believe it's New York City.

Well known actress Natasha Richardson has just been reported legally dead. I know many of you heard that she was in a skiing accident this morning, but not one thought much of it, now Fox is reporting that she is “brain dead and being flown back to New York, where she will be taken off life support.”

She was reported to be fine “fine at first.” She hit her head while learning to ski but then was seen talking and conscious. An hour later the 45-year-old actress’ said she had a headache and her health began to go down hill fast. Doctors are speculating that she died of “talk and die” syndrome.

“I can only speculate, but it sounds like something we call the ‘talk and die’ syndrome,” said Dr. Steven Flanagan, director of Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at New York University’s Langone Medical Center.

“What this implies is that someone hits their head and they are seemingly OK initially,” he told FOXNews.com. “But then they get a rapid collection of blood — usually called epidural hemorrhage — and that means bleeding between the skull and the brain.”

Ron Silver, 62, had been battling esophageal cancer for the last two years. Ron Silver leaves behind two children, Adam and Alexandra, his parents and his two brothers, and many friends and fans.

Ron Silver was an award-winning actor, and was Emmy-nominated for his role on the television drama “The West Wing.”

“Ron Silver died peacefully in his sleep with his family around him early Sunday morning,” said Robin Bronk, executive director of the Creative Coalition.

Ron Silver was considered a political activist and helped found the Creative Coalition.

New York-based Creative Coalition is an art-oriented political group founded in 1989 by Ron Silver, Alec Baldwin and Susan Sarandon, and others.

Ron Silver, who won Broadway’s 1988 Tony Award for his work in David Mamet’s drama “Speed the Plow,” had been a longtime liberal activist, but after the September 11 attacks became an outspoken supporter of Republican President George W. Bush.

He was a featured speaker at the 2004 Republican National Convention, sometimes called himself a “9/11 Republican” and switched his party affiliation from Democrat to independent.

Ron Silver, at 45, is president of Actors' Equity and won a Tony for his stage performance as slick movie producer Charlie Fox in David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow." He played the intense lawyer Alan Dershowitz in the film "Reversal of Fortune" and the hapless Holocaust survivor with three wives in "Enemies: A Love Story."

Rosenblatt's play, which opens Wednesday, is a complex monologue about writing, dreams and compromise. Its unnamed hero is a journalist who reflects on risk-taking; journalism is too easy for him, too insignificant. The play ran in New York for a month earlier this year but has been considerably rewritten.

It is a story that, in many ways, was written for Silver. Although playwright and actor did not know each other before, they connected through the words. They fit Silver, he says, and Silver, says Rosenblatt, fit the story.

"The one quality the play required above everything else, since it's a man talking to himself, is a man who is persuasively very smart," says Rosenblatt, editor-at-large of Life magazine. "He can't be acting. Apart from Ron's enormous range of acting skills, you have the sense of a very deep, comprehensive brooding intelligence."

"Shortly after I was retained by Howard Stern, I received firsthand information that MOE BRIGHTHAUPT ("Big Moe") had contacted tabloids offering for sale one or more photographs of Anna Nicole Smith.

Yesterday, photographs of Anna Nicole and Dannielynn were posted on various Internet websites. These photographs are the property of the Estate of Anna Nicole Smith and were stolen from her camera shortly after her death.

Big Moe denies selling the photographs but admits that he is distributing them. His misappropriation of Estate property is unlawful and his stated motives for doing so are not credible.

"This is another egregious example of deceit and manipulation by individuals and certain members of the media to profit from Anna Nicole's death. Even more disturbing is the fact that selective photographs have been distributed -- intentionally selected to make Anna Nicole and others appear in a false light.

Fortunately, the memory card stolen from the camera had been downloaded before it was stolen and the Estate is in possession of every photograph in the series. The other photographs clearly show that Anna Nicole, as she often did, was merely playing for the camera."

Howard K. Stern Arrested For Aiding in the Death of Anna Nicole Smith

The world speculated that Howard K. Stern aided in the death of actress Anna Nicole Smith. It has been nearly two years since Smith died from a lethal combination of prescription pills and now authorities have filed their first criminal charges in the case.

Howard K. Stern served as Anna’s lawyer for many years and also claimed to be her lover. Stern was arrested yesterday along with Dr. Sandeep Kapoor. There is also a warrant for the arrest of Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, who is expected to turn herself in on Monday.

All three are charged with a total of 8 felony counts, for conspiracy to provide a controlled substance to Smith between 2004-2007. Other charges include prescribing and or administering drugs to an addict.

Anna Nicole Smith died at the age of 39 in February 2007 from an accidental overdose. A few months earlier her 20 year old son Daniel Smith died from a lethal combination of pills while visiting his mother after the birth of her daughter Dannielynn Hope Birkhead.

Bill Gates lost $18 billion, but regained his title of the world's richest man. Warren Buffett, last year's richest, lost $25 billion and fell to second place. Mexican telecom titan Carlos Slim Helu lost $25 billion and fell to third. In sum, the 20 richest people on earth are worth $416 billion, more than a third less than last year's sum.

One member of the former billionaires club is 24-year-old Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg --once the youngest billionaire in the world, he must now settle with being simply a multi-millionaire. Zuckerberg lost at least $600 million out of a fortune estimated in 2008 at $1.5 billion.

World's richest not so rich

Microsoft Corp founder Bill Gates is the richest man again, overtaking investor Warren Buffett, as the global financial meltdown wiped out $2 trillion from the net worth of the world's billionaires, Forbes Magazine said on Wednesday.

The number of billionaires in the world fell by nearly a third to 793 in the past year, with large numbers dropping off the list in Russia, India and Turkey.

Bill Gates regained his title as the richest man in the world, with $40 billion after slipping to third last year when he was worth $58 billion. Warren Buffett, last year's richest man, fell to second place with $37 billion, down from $62 billion. Mexican telecommunications tycoon Carlos Slim took third place with $35 billion, down from $60 billion.

Collectively, the top three billionaires lost $68 billion in the year to February 13, when Forbes took a snapshot of wealth around the world to compile its annual list of billionaires.

Rapper Lil' Kim is delighted to be competing on the new season of US TV's Dancing With The Stars - because it is "the number one show in prison".

The 'Lady Marmalade' hitmaker was jailed for a year and a day in 2005 after being found guilty of perjury in relation to a New York shoot out in 2001.

But while behind bars in Philadelphia, Lil Kim developed a love for the reality show, and was encouraged by all the inmates to enter the dance competition.

Lil' Kim tells The Insider, "I'm a huge fan! When I was in prison, me and my girls used to watch it. My girls were like, 'Kim, you need to be on that show.'

"In prison you have to all agree what shows you watch. If we can't agree, it doesn't get watched. Everyone watched it faithfully. It's like the number one show in prison!"

And Lil' Kim is thankful to have landed last year's Dancing With The Stars champion, Derek Hough, as her professional partner.

Lil' Kim adds, "I was hoping and praying that I got Derek for my partner."

Lil' Kim determined to keep on 'Dancing'

A few hours after the news broke that two celebrities had dropped out of "Dancing with the Stars" with injuries, Lil' Kim was on the phone, sounding concerned but determined.
