Sisters? No it's Andie MacDowell and her lookalike daughter Rainey

By Daily Mail Reporter

Gorgeous ladies: Andie MacDowell and her daughter Rainey Qualley make a pretty picture

With their long luscious brown hair and flawless skin, it's clear these two are related.

But rather than being sisters, they are actually mother and daughter.

Andie MacDowell's daughter Rainey Qualley, 21, has obviously inherited her 52-year-old mother's good looks.

Attending the Lanvin for H&M haute couture fashion show in New York, Andie cut an impressively youthful and svelte figure in a black wrap dress and black patent heels.

Meanwhile Rainey showed off her slim figure in a skin-tight purple mini dress with black booties.

Both mother and daughter wore the same double-breasted tuxedo jacket over their dresses, making them look almost like sisters.

In fact, Rainey has found the family resemblance has come up in the course of her work as an actress.

'Casting agents have said, "You remind me of someone. I can't put my finger on who,"' she told Instyle recently.

Rainey isn't planning to follow in her mother's footsteps on the modelling catwalk, but she does want the emulate her successful acting career.

She definitely looks the part.

Andie was married to Rainey's father, fellow former model and rancher Paul Qualley, from 1986 to 1999.

The couple also had a son, Justin, and another daughter Sarah Margaret.

Apart from starring in hit movies such as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Andie has worked as the face of L'Oreal Paris for the past two decades.

She recently admitted she was told by her modelling agency that a client had complained she was overweight when she was in her mid-twenties.

In fact, Andie weighed 9st 6lbs, a healthy weight for her 5ft 8in frame.

The Four Weddings And A Funeral star said: 'I told them not to book me. This is the best I can do.'

But far from holding her back, her firm decision led to her career blossoming soon afterwards.

She added: ‘Shortly after, I got Calvin Klein commercials and a movie, so it didn’t stop me!'

The actress continued on to model for Vogue magazine and designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, Anne Klein and Bill Blass before finding fame in Hollywood with films such as Green Card and Groundhog day.

Now a comfortable 9st 11lbs, mother-of-three Andie insists she remains happy with her weight.

She told U.S. health magazine Prevention: 'I feel pretty good about it. Also, as you get older, your face starts to look drawn. That’s why I think I’m better off with those extra five pounds.'
