She was left reeling after the tragic loss of her baby five months into pregnancy earlier this month.

But Kelly Brook mustered the strength to put on a brave face as she faced the cameras for the first time since her heartbreaking loss.

The 31-year-old model smiled brightly for photographers as she headed out in London just over a fortnight since losing her unborn baby girl.

Kelly ventured out with the support of friends after two weeks of laying low at her farmhouse in Kent, where she was being comforted by family and friends including fiancé Thom Evans.

But the beautiful brunette seemed determined to make her first tentative steps towards moving forward with her life, stepping out in a slinky pink animal-print dress and towering heels.

Kelly appeared to be enjoying her night out in London as she chatted to her girlfriends in the back of a cab, while fiancé Thom was nowhere to be seen.

The day before Kelly was spotted out for the first time since the terrible news emerged on May 10.

She ventured out on her own on a shopping trip near her home.

Wearing a backless summer frock and a Panama hat, the Piranha: 3D star was pictured carrying groceries to her car, including a large bunch of roses.

Miss Brook was almost five months pregnant when she lost the daughter she was expecting with ex-Scottish rugby international Thom Evans, 26.

The former TV presenter was said to be ‘over the moon’ at the prospect of becoming a mother for the first time.

She had announced she was pregnant after only four months of dating Evans.

After news that she had lost the child, friends described her as ‘devastated’. One said: ‘She’s at home and she’s being looked after by Thom and her mum Sandra.

‘There’s nothing you can say to anyone at a time like this – she just needs to be allowed some time alone to grieve.’

Kelly Brook could barely contain her happiness as she walked down the street with her boyfriend Thom Evans yesterday.

The star, who stunned the world when she announced she was pregnant after just three months of dating, looked as if she wouldn't change a things as she strolled through London with her man.

Then again, the proud-father-to-be looked as if he couldn't be happier either as he alternately held his model girlfriend's hand or clutched her lovingly round the shoulders.

Still, Kelly, 31, has just been voted the eighth sexiest woman in the world in a poll unveiled by men's magazine FHM this week...

Kelly was looking suitably sunny in a short summer dress that showed off her growing belly, worn with sensible flat tan gladiator sandals and a caramel coloured cardigan.

Kelly recently admitted that while the pregnancy wasn't planned, she is chuffed with the turn of events and claims to have found 'The One' in her hunky former rugby player.

But she told Hello! magazine last month: 'That is what happens when you are in love - you surrender to whatever is to be. It wasn't a plan, but if it happened, it happened. We were boyfriend and girlfriend.'

She gushed: 'We have spent virtually every day together ever since. There was no game-playing, which is why I think our relationship progressed so quickly, because we haven't had to deal with egos.

'I love Thom and Thom loves me. We love being together. It is as simple as that.'

And it certainly looks like they'll have more than enough love to go round then when their little girl is born this summer.

Beauty Kelly Brook has made the shock announcement that she's expecting a baby with boyfriend Thom Evans - just over three months since they started dating.

The 31-year-old model and actress confirmed on her official Twitter last night: 'Thom and I are happy to announce we are expecting a baby girl. We are delighted XXXX.'

The pair met in November and have been seeing each ever since.

But Kelly Brook proved that she is still fighting fit at 31, looking gorgeous yesterday in her workout wear.

The model, who is the face - and body - of Reebok, took part in a photoshoot for the sportswear brand in Venice Beach.

Kelly wore a bright pink T-shirt and tight black leggings to work out at Abbot Kinney in California.

She carried a yoga mat, but the gorgeous brunette was clearly not working up a sweat with her glamorous hair and make-up picture perfect.

Kelly Brook recently admitted that she isn’t as assured of her assets as you might think.

‘I love doing shoots in sexy lingerie or swimwear because it makes me feel good about myself but a lot of hard work goes in before those shoots,’ she told Daily Star.

She added: ‘I am not as confident about my body as people think. And I’m becoming less and less confident as the years go on.’

But despite feeling some insecurities she has ruled out ever having gone under the knife and told the paper: ‘I’m all me and I love that my figure isn’t stick thin.’

‘I love my curves and if anyone saw what I can get through in a meal they’d know that I have to work hard to keep the weight off.’
